The 2008 financial crisis created a fertile environment for disruptive innovation in financial services, will the COVID-19 pandemic do the same?
Dr Robert Wardrop, Faculty (Reader level) in Management Practice, Director & Co-founder of the Cambridge Centre of Alternative Finance (CCAF), will explore whether this crisis will be a time of reckoning for FinTechs, ravaging business models that are no longer benefiting from a growing economy; or, conversely whether this crisis will reveal weaknesses in the incumbent financial system that increase demand for FinTech-delivered services.
