Churchill jazz crawl

Sun 30 November 2014

The Churchill Jazz Crawl
starting with
Trigger Themes and Free Flowing Improvisation
with Kevin Flanagan and David Gordon duo, and David Burgoyne.

Followed by
Jazz in the Bar

----------

Kevin Flanagan:
"This set will be a reprise of the concert Dave Gordon and I did at Kettles Yard; a duo exploring a range of our compositions used as 'trigger forms' for free flowing improvisations that will connect the material. This will draw from a number of influences; baroque, gagaku, and contemporary music. These pieces will not necessarily be jazz; more attention will be paid to communication and creating texture rather than the usual foregrounding of a soloist"

David Burgoyne: young, talented and refined multi instrumentalist that will impress you on the piano.

part of the Cambridge Jazz Weekend, November 27-30 2014

Cost: 5 £, free for Churchill students
