How does modern slavery link to garden design? Garden designer Juliet Sargeant is the answer!

The Newnham MCR Speaker Series invites everyone to Juliet’s talk: “From Small Acorns……The Story of the Modern Slavery Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show

In 2016, Juliet Sargeant designed and created a show garden at Chelsea Flower Show, exploring the issue of modern slavery. The garden won a gold medal in the Fresh Gardens category. Juliet is believed to be the first black designer to create a garden in Chelsea’s history.

She will share with us the story of the garden, the campaign and what can grow from small acorns.
