The University of Cambridge New Music Ensemble
Thu 22 November 2018
Kettle's Yard House and Gallery
The University of Cambridge New Music Ensemble is thrilled to be giving the World Premiere of Robin Holloway’s brand new Autumn Music, in celebration of the composer’s 75th Birthday. The concert also marks the centenary of the Armistice with two more new works by Cambridge-based composers: Chris Brammeld’s In Memoriam and Tim Watts’ Sheer, both settings of First World War poetry.
The programme is completed by the extraordinarily refined and colourful sound world of the Three Pieces for Violin and Piano by Kate Whitley, current curator of New Music at Kettle’s Yard. The New Music Ensemble comprises some of the University’s most talented instrumentalists and is conducted by Patrick Bailey.
Cost: £12 (£5 students)
