A favourite at London's Wigmore Hall, Bavarian soprano Christiane Karg is now considered one of the world's finest Lieder singers. Since her auspicious debut at the Salzburg Festival in 2006, she has delighted audiences the world over. She has been nominated for a Grammy following her performances at Glyndebourne last summer and will appear at the Royal Opera House as Pamina in the Spring of 2015. She regularly appears with the Berlin Philharmonic, Dresden Staatskapelle and Philadelphia Philharmonic to name a few. She will repeat tonight's recital at the Wigmore Hall, with Joseph Middleton, the following evening. Their recital in Pembroke gives Cambridge audiences the opportunity to hear the 'Shakespeare of song', Schubert, in the intimate setting of the Old Library. A recital not to be missed.
