A tapestry of tears

Sat 14 May 2016

Fitzwilliam College

Musicke in the Ayre (soprano Marie Lemaire, mezzo Carmel de Jager and lutenist Din Ghani) present a programme exploring the symbolic role of tears in 17th century art song. It includes songs and duets by Notari, le Camus, Ramsey and Hales, as well as by more familiar names such as Dowland, Byrd and Frescobaldi. Din will also play a few lute solos.

They offer a relaxing hour of gorgeous music in the lovely Chapel at Fitzwilliam College.

Cost: Free entry, with a retiring collection
