Docks & goosefoots: identifying polygonaceae & chenopodiaceae

Tue 5 August 2014

Botanic Garden

Despite being described variously as 'ugly, boring, impossible to eradicate and even more impossible to identify, these two families of archetypal 'weeds' cannot be ignored. With assistance from botanist Ros Bennett, you will soon find that they are by no means ugly or boring. In many ways some of them are architecturally exquisite and all are intriguing. But they are a challenge to identify! This one-day course aims to simplify the process of becoming familiar with a wide range of species and to give you confidence in identifying members of these fascinating families with accuracy.

Cost: £50
