Neal Ascherson is a Scottish historian and journalist who currently writes for the Guardian. He will be speaking on the historical connections between Scotland and Europe, how they can be exploited in the present context, and the importance of re-establishing an active and distinct ‘European identity’ for Scotland in the next few years.
The lecture will be followed by a reception in the atrium of the Alison Richard Building.
