Credited with originating British folk-rock, Fairport Convention first took to the stage in 1967’s summer of love. To mark its fiftieth year, Fairport has released a brand new CD titled 50:50@50. The band will play a selection of tracks from the album as well as long-established favourites from their extensive repertoire.

Songs of Farewell: Works of grief and mourning by Brahms and Schu?tz. Free admission, with a retiring collection.

Fitting neatly into a lunch break, the Cambridge University Lunchtime Concert Series offers a chance to sit back and relax whilst listening to the best performers Cambridge University has to offer. This series strikes a balance between old favourites and new discoveries, featuring rarely performed works and UK premieres of new music alongside popular classics. With free admission and exciting programmes performed to a very high standard, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
