EVEN THE CROWS: A DIVIDED GUJARAT (Sheena and Sonum Sumaria, 2013; 78mins)

- 'Even the Crows' is a transnational documentary made by British-Indian filmmaker sisters, Sheena and Sonum Sumaria, that probes the 'Gujarat Riots' of 2002. The film considers the role of state government, led by current Prime Minister Narendra Modi (then Chief Minister of Gujarat), struggles for justice, and the rise of Hindu nationalism in India and abroad.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Director, Sheena Sumaria, and a panel discussion featuring Priyamvada Gopal (Faculty of English, University of Cambridge).
