Garden Writing 2 CANCELLED

Fri 5 September 2014

Botanic Garden

On this one-day course, you will spend time looking at the greats of garden writing from Christopher Lloyd to current-day journalists and authors. Participants will chose a medium they would like to write for – such as blogs, magazines or books – and tutor Jackie Bennett will help you to achieve a deeper level of understanding of what makes successful writing. It is useful if participants have attended the 'Garden Writing 1' course or have prior experience of writing. Participants should bring a piece of 500–600 words for appraisal. Jackie is an award-winning garden writer and editor and her latest book is The Writer’s Garden (Frances Lincoln, 2014).

Cost: £50
