Musical Conversations

The Parley of Instruments

In the eighteenth century the playing of chamber music such as trio sonatas was the musical equivalent of making polite conversation. This afternoon concert draws on the compositions of Telemann, Hasse and Vivaldi, who were all drawn to the musical hub of the Dresden Court.
