The panel:
Njoki Wamai is a scholar and activist pursuing doctoral studies in transitional justice in post-election Kenya. She is co-founder of the Black Cantabs Society.
Johanna Riha is the policy director for the All Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health, with doctoral studies in epidemiology focusing on Uganda. She also launched the flagship Africa Together series in 2014.
Mónica Figueroa is a Fellow in Social Sciences at Downing College with a research background in the lived experience of ‘race’ and racism, feminist theory and visual methodologies and applied research collaboration. She was also the Chair of the Ethnicity, Race and Indigenous Peoples section of the Latin American Studies Association.
Lola Olufemi is a current undergraduate student and activist, involved in both the Women’s and BME Campaigns at Cambridge. She is also facilitator of FLY, Cambridge’s BME Women’s network.
Sogo Akintaro is a current undergraduate student and involved in Soar, Cambridge’s BME Men’s network. He also co-founded Limitless, which creates a platform for youth in London state schools.
Suhaiymah Manzoor-Khan is a current undergraduate student and activist, involved in Cambridge’s BME Campaign and FLY. She writes on race, gender and intersectionality on her blog.
