Artists' Moving Image: Then and Now. Microcinema Roundtable at Heong Gallery, Downing College
Mon 24 October 2016
Downing College
As part of the experimental Microcinema strand of the Cambridge Film Festival programmed by James Mackay and University lecturer Yvonne Salmon, a roundtable will be held to discuss artist's moving image today by reference to the fiftieth anniversary of the London Film-Makers' Cooperative.
Join film-makers, curators and former LFMC members to discuss experimental film, the Microcinema screenings and the future of film, in a discussion chaired by Yvonne Salmon. The roundtable will also provide important insights for the microcinema screenings which take place on 23 and 24 October at the Arts Picturehouse, as many of the filmmakers will participate in the discussion.
The roundtable takes place at the Heong Gallery, Downing College, which will also host a moving image installation by Steve Farrer during the Film Festival as part of the Microcinema strand.
This year's microcinema strand offers exciting work from Sarah Wood, Daniel Fawcett & Clara Pais, Ian Bourn, Steve Farrer, Clement Page, Vicki Thornton, Sarah Turner and Cordelia Swann.
