Museum of Classical Archaeology
Cambridgeshire Competes, a cooperation between museums and sports centres across the region, aims to explore the county’s history and connections with past and future Games, providing inspiring collections giving insights into different aspects of Olympic History.
Founded in 1884, around the time of the excavation of the ancient Olympia of Greece, the Museum of Classical Archaeology has one of the few remaining collections of plaster casts of Greek sculputre in the world. These casts were taken directly from originals in the nineteeth cenutry. This is an good opportunity to visit an exhibition especially on display to celebrate London 2012.
