Camerata Musica Cambridge: PIERRE-LAURENT AIMARD plays Messiaen

Fri 21 October 2016

Peterhouse

Begun in March 1944 in Paris while the city was still under Nazi occupation, and completed shortly after its liberation, Messiaen's Vingt Regards - or Twenty Contemplations - is widely recognized as one of the supreme works of music to have been composed in the 20th century. It is played for Camerata Musica by a pianist who regularly worked with and performed for the composer: Pierre-Laurent Aimard. It promises to be a sensational concert.

Cost: £5-£35
