Dixit Dominus

La Nuova Musica
David Bates director
Lucy Crowe soprano

The great Dixit Dominus settings of Handel and Vivaldi will joust either side of Vivaldi’s solo cantata In furore iustissimæ iræ.

La Nuova Musica, “the most exciting of all young Baroque ensembles” (The Times) has shot to prominence in the UK and abroad in the few years since its foundation. Already a regular guest at the foremost Early Music venues and festivals, La Nuova Musica is establishing itself amongst critics and audiences as both a fixture and a breath of fresh air. “Crowe is one of the most accomplished Handel singers around, the voice a thing of great beauty, freshness and purity, the technique so secure that the most difficult coloratura gymnastics were like child’s play” - Chicago Tribune. Other soloists include Augusta Hebbert, Simon Wall and Christopher Lowrey.

Cost: £20, £15
