Plastic in the Food Chain: Can we do without it?

Thu 27 May 2021

online

Most of our food comes packed in plastic. But should it? Using plastic both creates waste and reduces it by keeping food fresh. Are more sustainable manufacturing and recycling processes possible?

Our expert panel, drawn from the food industry, the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge and local recycling schemes, chaired by Dr Claire Barlow, Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge will discuss the challenges and answer your questions.

This event is organised by Cambridge Global Food Security and Energy IRCs, supported by #AnnualFoodAgenda, an EIT Food project.
