With Dr Melissa Calaresu, Faculty of History, University of Cambridge

Dr Calaresu specialises in fifteenth to nineteenth century European history with a special focus on the cultural, social, and intellectual history of Italy, Spain and France.

Dr Calaresu's recent research focuses on street-sellers in history and contemporary society. This research has come out of her recent work on sorbet sellers in eighteenth- and nineteeth-century Naples and has allowed the exploration of social realities as well as representations of food sellers in Italy in the early modern period.
