Tom Green Mentioned three times as Jazzwise magazine's "One to Watch 2014", Tom is a trombonist, composer and arranger based in London who has directed his own groups and big bands on national and international tours, and has performed at venues including Ronnie Scott's, the Vortex Jazz Club, 606 Club, Bull's Head, the Casa del Jazz in Rome, the Budapest Jazz Club, the Jazz Club of Tunis, and at the Montreux, Toronto and Montreal Jazz Festivals.
Fromage a Trois is a jazz trio led by the ebullient David Ellingham whose jazzy, incendiary bellowing on the tenor and baritone saxes is well known in the area. Having in the past played around Europe (mostly with rock and blues bands), recorded for the BBC and played at Ronnie Scotts, he now chooses to surprise and amaze with his use of advanced techniques such as circular breathing and explorations of the altissimo end of the saxophone.
better than TV plays its music in and around Cambridge at parties, bar gigs and functions and at the main jazz events of the university.
better than TV has played three times at Clare Jazz and at Jazz@John's with the Ant Law group and the Preston-Lowe-Glasgow trio.
better than TV is currently recording its first official release, an album called 'Late'.
