Sounds Green 2019

Cambridge University Botanic Garden

A celebration of summer and music, Sounds Green takes place every Wednesday evening in July on the Garden’s Main Lawn, providing a perfect opportunity to embrace sights, sounds and summer scents in the Garden with family and friends on a (hopefully) warm, summer evening. •Open to all ages.
•Bring a rug and picnic (optional); food, ice creams and drinks on sale.

3 July: AfroTema
A danceable mix of Senegalese salsa, furious mbalax, afro-rock & some serious roots reggae

10 July: Martin Kemp’s Organised Chaos
Exploring musical byways with swing and jazz standards from 1930s to the present

17 July: Truly Medley Deeply
A hybrid of live band, DJ and jukebox producing a huge sound from Motown classics to stadium rock

24 July: Noga Ritter
Singer-songwriter Noga Rigger with her new exciting band performing Afro grooves and jazz

31 July: Ruth Applin & Josh Kemp Quartet
Singer-pianist Ruth Applin with acclaimed saxophonist Josh Kemp, playing classic jazz, blues & bossa nova

Please note:
•Due to limited capacity all paying visitors must purchase tickets in advance for each performance from www.botanic.cam.ac.uk.
•Tickets may be available to purchase on the gate on the night of each performance but this is not guaranteed.
•CUBG Friends & CU Students do not need to purchase advance tickets and can use membership/CU cards for entry.

Cost: Adult:£6.00/5.50 accompanied children 0-16 free

Please note: due to limited capacity and to avoid disappointment, all paying visitors should buy Garden tickets in advance via the Botanic Garden website, on sale from 1 June 2019. Tickets may also be available on the Gate on the day of each performance, but this cannot be guaranteed.
