The Penultimate Curiosity Talk

Thu 11 February 2016

Trinity College

'The Penultimate Curiosity' sets out to answer one of the most profound questions about the development of human thought: why it is that throughout the long journey from cave painting to quantum physics what we now refer to as 'science' and 'religion' have been so closely entangled.

The artist Roger Wagner and Professor of Nanomaterials Andrew Briggs will give a talk illustrated with excerpts from a forthcoming documentary in the Winstanley Lecture Theatre at Trinity College on Thursday 11 February at 6pm.

Following the talk there will be a drinks reception with the authors at nearby Heffers bookshop, to celebrate the launch of The Penultimate Curiosity. Here you will have the opportunity to purchase the book for the special launch night price of £20 (usual price £25).

Although the talk and drinks reception are free to attend, booking is essential to guarantee a place at either of them. There are two separate ticket options: one for the talk and reception, one for the talk only; please ensure that you book what you need in advance as regrettably, we cannot admit guests without a ticket.

Cost: Free
