Eligibility:

Applicants should:

  • already hold (or expect to hold by the time of taking up the award) a degree equivalent to a first-class from a UK university
  • not be an employee, current or former, of the Royal Dutch Shell Group of Companies
  • show a commitment to the development of their country

Conditions:

  • successful applicants must undertake to return to their own country and take up permanent residence there after completing the course at Cambridge

Value of Scholarships:

The scholarships will normally cover

  • the University Composition Fee at the overseas rate
  • approved College fees
  • a maintenance allowance sufficient for a single student
  • a contribution towards a return economy airfare by the cheapest available route
