Arab-British Chamber Chevening Cambridge Scholarships
for students from member states of the Arab League
- in collaboration with the Arab-British Chamber Charitable Foundation and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office
- up to five scholarships offered annually
- for one-year postgraduate courses of study
- in subjects relevant to their country's needs
- for citizens of the member states:
- Algeria
- Comoro Islands
- Djibouti
- Egypt
- Jordan
- Lebanon
- Mauritania
- Morocco
- Palestine
- Somalia
- Sudan
- Syria
- Tunisia
- The Yemen
Eligibility:
Applicants should:
- have a first class or high second class honours degree or its equivalent from a recognised university
Conditions:
- scholars must undertake to return to their own country, or to another member state of the Arab League, on completion of their studies
Value of Scholarships:
The scholarships will normally cover up to:
- the University Composition Fee at the overseas rate
- approved College fees
- a maintenance allowance sufficient for a single student
- contribution towards a return economy airfare to the UK by cheapest available route
