Arab-British Chamber Chevening Cambridge Scholarships

for students from member states of the Arab League

  • in collaboration with the Arab-British Chamber Charitable Foundation and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office
  • up to five scholarships offered annually
  • for one-year postgraduate courses of study
  • in subjects relevant to their country's needs
  • for citizens of the member states:
    • Algeria
    • Comoro Islands
    • Djibouti
    • Egypt
    • Jordan
    • Lebanon
    • Mauritania
    • Morocco
    • Palestine
    • Somalia
    • Sudan
    • Syria
    • Tunisia
    • The Yemen

Eligibility:

Applicants should:

  • have a first class or high second class honours degree or its equivalent from a recognised university

Conditions:

  • scholars must undertake to return to their own country, or to another member state of the Arab League, on completion of their studies

Value of Scholarships:

The scholarships will normally cover up to:

  • the University Composition Fee at the overseas rate
  • approved College fees
  • a maintenance allowance sufficient for a single student
  • contribution towards a return economy airfare to the UK by cheapest available route
