Disability Equality Training


The University offers disability equality training on a variety topics, available free to all University and college staff and students. There are 3 types of training available:

  • Delivered in College or Department.
  • Popular topics include: the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and accessible/inclusive teaching and learning practice.

Assistive software training

  • Provided by the Assistive Technology (AT) team which is based within the University Computing Service (UCS).
  • Software includes: Dragon Naturally Speaking, Inspiration, JAWS, SuperNova, TextHelp Read&Write and ZoomText.
