Application and Funding Deadlines

Funding Deadlines for admission in 2014/15

Applications for the University's main funding schemes are made via the GRADSAF (graduate application form). The deadlines for these funding schemes are listed in the table below:

Please note that

  • select departments may have a course application deadline earlier than these funding deadlines in which case your application must be submitted by the earlier date

  • all deadlines are midnight UK time on the date stated

  • You must ensure that your application is submitted before the advertised deadline

  • The above deadlines apply to the submission of the GRADSAF (application form). Supporting documentation should be submitted within 14 days of submitting the GRADSAF

  • Funding deadlines above apply to applicants for admission in the 2014/15 academic year only (i.e. October 2014, January 2015 & Easter 2015).
    Funding competitions for entry the academic year 2013/14 have now closed

Other Application Deadlines

You should check the course entry in the Qualifications Directory for departmental closing dates

Please note that

  • all deadlines are midnight UK time on the date stated

  • You must ensure that your application arrives before the advertised deadline

  • Conditional offers of admission are made throughout the year and therefore some courses may fill up before the advertised closing date

  • Should a course become full before its original closing date, this will be advertised in that course's entry in the Qualifications Directory.

  • The online applications facility will also be closed at the point at which a course becomes full.

If no closing date is shown in the course entry in the Qualifications Directory, the final course deadlines are:
30 June for admission in October (Michaelmas Term)
30 September for admission in January (Lent Term)
31 December for admission in April (Easter Term)

Please note that if you require a visa to study in the UK, it is advisable to apply well before these final deadlines, and no later than four months before the start of your course, to ensure that your application can be processed, and that you can meet the conditions of any offer, in time to obtain a visa and take up your place.
