Application and Funding Deadlines
It is in your interest to apply as soon as possible after applications open on 1 September.
Course Deadlines
Please check the Qualifications Directory for information on course closing dates. Please note that conditional offers of admission are made throughout the year and that therefore courses may fill up even ahead of the advertised closing date. Should a course become full before its original closing date, this will be advertised in that course's entry in the Qualifications Directory. The online applications facility will also be closed at the point at which a course becomes full.
If no closing date is shown, the final course deadline for applications is:
30 June for admission in October (Michaelmas Term)
30 September for admission in January (Lent Term)
31 December for admission in April (Easter Term)
Funding deadlines and many course deadlines are much earlier than the above dates, and it is imperative that you consult the relevant course entry, GradFunds and the table below, in order to establish which deadlines apply to you. Your application should be submitted by the earliest relevant deadline.
Please note that if you require a visa to study in the UK, it is advisable to apply well before these final deadlines, and no later than four months before the start of your course, to ensure that your application can be processed, and that you can meet the conditions of any offer, in time to obtain a visa and take up your place.

Applications for the University's main funding schemes are made via the GRADSAF (graduate application form). The application deadlines for these are as follows:

If you wish to apply for funding you must ensure that your application arrives before the advertised deadline, or before the relevant course deadline whichever is earliest.
Supporting documentation for the above schemes should be submitted within 14 days of submitting the GRADSAF or before the relevant course deadline whichever is earliest
We advise that you begin your application as early as possible and do not leave it until the advertised date to begin your application.
Funding deadlines above apply to applicants for admission in the 2013/14 academic year only (i.e. October 2013). Funding competitions for the academic year 2012/13 have now closed.
