Applicants for the PGCE course
As a condition of offer of a place on the PGCE course, or if you intend to conduct practical research in educational settings, you are required to obtain a check from the Criminal Records Bureau. Enhanced Disclosure is the level of check required for all those seeking a position which involves regular and unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable adults. As a trainee teacher, or because of the nature of the research, you are required to obtain this highest level of check.
If you firmly accept a conditional or unconditional offer you will be issued by the Faculty of Education with an Enhanced Disclosure CRB Application Form.
A condition of your offer of a place at the University of Cambridge is subject to receipt of an Enhanced CRB check. All conditions of your offer should be met before the start of term. The current fee for seeking the disclosure is £44.
