Annual meetings of the Faculties

Classics

The Chair of the Faculty Board of Classics gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, 9 November 2017 in room G19 in the Faculty of Classics, Sidgwick site. The main item of business will be the election of two members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2018, in accordance with Regulation 1 of the General Regulations for the Constitution of the Faculty Boards (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 603).

Nominations for election, and notice of any other business, should be received by Mr Nigel Thompson (email: nmt24@cam.ac.uk), Faculty of Classics, Sidgwick Avenue, not later than Thursday, 2 November 2017.

Physics and Chemistry

The Chair of the Faculty Board of Physics and Chemistry gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Friday, 24 November 2017, in the Committee Room, Institute of Astronomy, Madingley Road.

Notice of any business should reach the Secretary by Monday, 13 November 2017.

Historical Tripos, Part II, 2018: Amendment to subjects and periods

The Faculty Board of History gives notice that it has amended its announcement of special and specified subjects for Part II of the Historical Tripos, 2018 (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 340), as published on 13 July 2016 (Reporter, 6433, 2015–16, p. 766) and 17 May 2017 (Reporter, 6465, 2016–17, p. 529), as follows:

By amending the title of Paper 18 (Paper J6 of Part Ib of the Asian and Middle Eastern Studies Tripos)

from:	Japanese history in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries
to:	Japanese history

The Faculty Board is satisfied that no candidate’s preparation for the examination will be adversely affected by this change.
