Amending Statutes for Christ’s College

11 October 2017

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that he has received from the Governing Body of Christ’s College, in accordance with the provisions of Section 7(2) of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1923, the text of proposed Statutes to amend the Statutes of the College. The proposed amendments and the current Statutes of the College are available on the College’s website at https://www.christs.cam.ac.uk/college-life/2017-proposed-statutory-reforms and https://www.christs.cam.ac.uk/college-life/college-statutes. Paper copies may be inspected at the University Offices until 10 a.m. on 3 November 2017.

Whistleblowing policy

The Council has approved a revised Whistleblowing policy regarding public disclosure by University employees. This can be found online at https://www.hr.admin.cam.ac.uk/policies-procedures/whistleblowing-policy-public-disclosure-university-employees.

Breaking the silence – University campaign to prevent harassment and sexual misconduct

Breaking the silence – Cambridge speaks out against sexual misconduct is a University campaign aimed at preventing coercive behaviour, harassment, and sexual misconduct. The campaign includes a University statement of zero tolerance, a revised dignity at work policy to include sexual misconduct, and a new policy and guidance document concerning personal relationships between staff and students. These documents, and further information about the campaign, prevention and support initiatives, training and events, are available at: http://www.breakingthesilence.cam.ac.uk.

USS Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2017

USS Ltd has published its Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2017. The trustees will be issuing a short report to all members giving details of the information contained in the full Report and Accounts, and this will be circulated to members when it is available.
