Graces

Graces submitted to the Regent House on 2 December 2015

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, unless they are withdrawn or a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 111), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 11 December 2015.

1. That the recommendations in paragraph 8 of the Second-stage Report of the Council, dated 27 October 2015, on the construction of a Chemistry of Health Centre for the Department of Chemistry (Reporter, 6401, 2015–16, p. 71) be approved.

2. That the recommendations in paragraph 4 of the Report of the General Board, dated 4 November 2015, on the establishment of certain Professorships (Reporter, 6403, 2015–16, p. 124) be approved.1

3. That the recommendations in paragraph 22 of the Report of the General Board, dated 4 November 2015, on the introduction of a Joint Tripos in History and Politics, and a Joint Tripos in History and Modern Languages (Reporter, 6403, 2015–16, p. 126) be approved.1

4. That The Right Honourable Igor, Baron Judge of Draycote, M, be reappointed Chair of the Septemviri for four years from 1 January 2016.

5. That Professor Dame Sandra Dawson, SID, be reappointed one of the Septemviri for two years from 1 January 2016.

6. That Professor Dame Athene Donald, CHU, be reappointed one of the Septemviri for two years from 1 January 2016.

7. That Professor Geoffrey Ward, HO, be reappointed one of the Septemviri for two years from 1 January 2016.

8. That Professor Richard Penty, SID, be appointed one of the Septemviri with immediate effect until 31 December 2016.
