Regulations for examinations

Chemical Engineering Tripos

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 282)

With effect from 1 October 2016

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology Syndicate, have approved an amendment to the regulations for the Tripos so as to remove Regulation 2(b), permitting students to be candidates for honours in Part I of the Chemical Engineering Tripos following completion of Part Ia of the Computer Science Tripos.

The General Board are satisfied that no student’s preparation for the examinations will be affected by this change.

Computer Science Tripos, Part II

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 292)

With immediate effect

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Computer Science and Technology, have approved an amendment to the regulations for the Tripos so as to permit the award of a mark of distinction in Part II.

Regulation 7.

By adding the following sentence at the end of the regulation:

For special excellence a mark of distinction may be awarded in Part II.

The Board are satisfied that no candidate’s preparation for the examination in 2016 will be affected by this change.
