Cambridge Philosophical Society

Professor Simon Laughlin FRS, Department of Zoology, will give a lecture entitled The human brain – a lesson in green technology, at 6 p.m. on Monday, 9 November 2015, in the Bristol-Myers Squibb Lecture Theatre, Department of Chemistry, Lensfield Road.

The Society’s Honorary Fellows Lecture will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 11 November 2015 in the Bristol-Myers Squibb Lecture Theatre, Department of Chemistry, Lensfield Road. Professor Roger Tsien ForMemRS, University of California, will give a lecture entitled Molecules against cancer or for long-term memory storage.

Friends of the University Library

A meeting of the Friends of Cambridge University Library will be held on Wednesday, 11 November 2015, at 5.30 p.m., in the Milstein Seminar Rooms, University Library, West Road, at which Richard Berengarten will read from his sonnet-sequence Notness, accompanied by cinematic commentaries by Geneviève Guetemme.
