Professor Sir John (Harold) Horlock, M.A., Ph.D., Sc.D., FRS, FREng, Honorary Fellow and former Fellow of St John’s College, sometime Professor of Engineering and Director of the Whittle Laboratory, former Vice-Chancellor of the Open University, died on 22 May 2015, aged 87 years.
