Regulations for examinations

Engineering Tripos, Part Ib

With immediate effect

The Supplementary Regulations for Paper 2 have been amended as follows:

Paper 2. Structures

The paper shall consist mainly of questions on: elastic analysis of statically indeterminate trusses, beams, and frames; stress and strain in thin-walled structures; analysis of stress and strain; the Tresca and von Mises yield criteria; plastic theory of structures.

The Faculty Board have confirmed that no candidate’s preparation for the examination in 2015 will be adversely affected.

English Tripos: Correction

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 339)

A correction has been made to the notice published on 24 September 2014 (Reporter, 6357, 2014–15, p. 10). The amendment articulated to sub-paragraph (d) of Regulation 16 is confined to the final sentence. The remainder of the sub-paragraph of the regulation remains unchanged.

With effect from 1 October 2014

Part I

Regulation 16.

By amending the final sentence of sub-paragraph (d) of the Regulation so as to read:

(d)The prescribed length detailed under sub-paragraph (c) above shall exclude the synopsis, notes, and bibliography.

The Faculty Board of English have confirmed that no candidate’s preparation for the examination in 2015 will be adversely affected.
