Graces

Graces submitted to the Regent House on 26 November 2014

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, unless they are withdrawn or a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 111), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 5 December 2014.

1. That Mr R. B. Landman and Mrs L. M. Thompson, elected members of the Finance Committee in class (b), serve for the following periods:1

Mr Landman, to 31 December 2015

Mrs Thompson, for three years from 1 January 2015

2. That the regulations for the Dates of Examinations and Publication of Class Lists (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 246) be amended, by revising the list of examinations in Regulation 2 as follows (retaining all existing footnotes):2

By adding ‘Architecture Tripos, Parts Ia, Ib, and II’ to the ‘First day of Full Easter Term’, and removing ‘Architecture Tripos, Parts Ia and Ib’ from the ‘Tuesday before last Sunday in May’ and ‘Architecture Tripos, Part II’ from the ‘Monday before first Sunday in June’.

  • 2The General Board propose these changes on the recommendation of the Board of Examinations and the Faculty Board of Architecture and History of Art. The Board are satisfied that no candidate will be adversely affected by these changes.


Graces to be submitted to the Regent House at a Congregation on 29 November 2014

The Council has sanctioned the submission of the following Graces to the Regent House at a Congregation to be held on 29 November 2014:

That the following person be admitted to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by incorporation:

1. Fabian Grabenhorst, Fellow of Selwyn College, Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Oxford (2010).

That the following person be admitted to the degree of Master of Arts by incorporation:

2. Richard Kenneth Fisher, of Wolfson College, Managing Director of Academic Publishing at Cambridge University Press, Master of Arts of the University of Oxford (2014).

That the following persons be admitted to the degree of Master of Arts under the provisions of Statute B II 2:

4. William Alexander Bowes, General Counsel at Cambridge University Press.

5. Mark Charles Dobell Maddocks, Chief Information Officer at Cambridge University Press.

7. Anna Clare Ruggles-Brise, Administrative Officer in the Academic Division of the University Offices.

8. Jochen Axel Zeitler, Fellow of Gonville and Caius College and Reader in Chemical Engineering in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology.
