Electronic calculators in University examinations, 2014–15: Amendment

The list of examinations in which calculators are permitted, which was published on 1 October 2014 (Reporter, 6358, 2014–15, p. 29), should be amended as follows:

(8) Master of Corporate Law (Financial Management)

The permitted calculators for use in the Financial Management examination will be the standard University calculator CASIO fx 991 (any version), CASIO fx 115 (any version), or CASIO fx 570 (any version); or the Texas Instruments BA II Plus or the Texas Instruments BA II Plus Professional. Candidates may only take one model of calculator into the examination hall.

Examination in Economic and Social History for the M.Phil. Degree, 2014–15

The Degree Committee for the Faculty of History give notice that in accordance with Regulation 1(c) governing the written exercises, students will select two papers from the following options available to study for the examination in Economic and Social History in the academical year 2014–15:

Michaelmas Term

1.Poverty, disease, and medicine in Britain, 1500–1800

2.Inequality: a global history

3.The history of economic and social thought
 

Lent Term

1.British industrialization in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries

2.Money, trade, and politics: from the gold standard to the euro crisis

3.Health, politics, and economic growth since 1750

Examination in Modern British History for the M.Phil. Degree, 2015–16

The Degree Committee for the Faculty of History give notice that in accordance with Regulation 1(c) the following option available to study for the examination in Modern British History in the academical year 2015–16 has been amended from ‘3. Class and social militancy in the long twentieth century’ to ‘3. Class and social mobility in the long twentieth century’.
