Regulations for examinations

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (New Curriculum Regulations), Second M.B. Examination

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 480)

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Boards of Biology and Clinical Medicine, have approved an amendment to Regulation 9(g) of the Second M.B. Examination with immediate effect. The revision is to change the examination of Head and Neck Anatomy (HNA) from a practical paper of one hour to a practical paper of forty-five minutes. This brings Sections I and II of the HNA examination for the Second M.B. Examination into line with Sections I and II of the HNA examination for the Medical and Veterinary Sciences Tripos.

The regulations have been changed as follows:

9. (g) The examination in HNA shall consist of a practical paper of forty-five minutes consisting of two sections (Section I and Section II).

Examination in Modern European History for the M.Phil. Degree

With effect from 1 October 2014

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Degree Committee for History, have approved an amendment to Regulation 1(c) so as to replace the list of topics with the following:

1.Cold War Europe

2.Russia and the West

3.Eastern Europe’s communist dictatorships

4.Europe in the Age of the Barricade

5.Approaches to the long 18th century (this topic is shared with Early Modern History)
