1. The General Board recommend the establishment or re-establishment of three Professorships as set out in paragraphs 2 and 3 below. The funding arrangements in each case were approved by the Resource Management Committee at its meeting on 22 October 2014.

2. The Board have accepted an academic case from the Faculty Board of Business and Management and the Council of the School of Technology for the establishment of a Professorship of Finance and a Professorship of Management Accounting in Judge Business School, each for one tenure. The cost of these Professorships will be met from funds available to Judge Business School from its MBA, Master of Finance, and Executive Education programmes. The Board have agreed that election to the Professorship of Finance should be made by an ad hoc Board of Electors and that preference should be given to candidates working within the field of theoretical and empirical behavioural finance. The Board have agreed that election to the Professorship of Management Accounting should be made by an ad hoc Board of Electors and that candidature should be open without limitation or preference to all persons whose work falls within the general field of the title of the Professorship.

3. The Board have accepted an academic case from the Faculty Board of Clinical Medicine for the re-establishment, for a further tenure, of the Professorship of Molecular Endocrinology in the Department of Clinical Biochemistry. The Professorship, which was established by Grace 2 of 23 May 1990, lapsed on the retirement of Professor K. Siddle on 30 September 2014. The full cost of the Professorship will be met by the School of Clinical Medicine from within its recurrent Chest allocation. The Board have agreed that election to the Professorship should be made by an ad hoc Board of Electors and that candidature should be open without limitation or preference to all persons whose work falls within the general field of the title of the Professorship.

4. The General Board recommend:

I. That a Professorship of Finance be established for one tenure from 1 October 2015, placed in the Schedule to Special Ordinance C (vii) 1, and assigned to Judge Business School.
