The Vice-Chancellor invites those qualified under the regulations for Discussions (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 111) to attend a Discussion in the Senate-House, on Tuesday, 25 November 2014, at 2 p.m. for the discussion of:

1. First-stage Report of the Council, dated 31 October 2014, on the North Range of buildings on the New Museums site (Reporter, 6363, 2014–15, p. 119).

2. Report of the General Board, dated 5 November 2014, on the establishment or re-establishment of certain Professorships (p. 140).

No other persons having been nominated, the candidates named above in classes (a) and (c) are duly elected. It is necessary to hold an election in class (b) to select two from among the five candidates; voting papers will be distributed by 17 November 2014. Those elected will serve for four years from 1 January 2015*. The timetable of a bye-election to fill the remaining vacancy in class (c) will be announced in the Reporter.

Election to the Board of Scrutiny

The Vice-Chancellor announces that the following candidate has been nominated for election to the Board of Scrutiny in the class shown below, in accordance with Statute A VII 3, and it has been certified to him that the candidate has consented to be nominated:

No other persons having been nominated, the above candidate in class (c)(ii) is duly elected and will serve with immediate effect until 30 September 2015.

Regulation 2 for the election of members of the Board of Scrutiny (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 121) provides that, if at an election insufficient nominations are received to fill all the places either in class (c)(i) or in class (c)(ii), the Council shall appoint as many members as may be necessary. No person having been nominated in class (c)(i) (a person who has been a member of the Regent House for not more than ten years on 1 October 2015), the Council will be asked to make an appointment to that vacancy.
