Events

Emmanuel College: Cambridge Seminars in the History of Cartography. John Blair, of The Queen’s College, Oxford, presents Land surveying in the post-Roman West, at 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 6 May 2014 in the Gardner Room.

Selwyn College: This year’s Ramsay Murray Lecture will be held on Friday, 9 May 2014 at 5.30 p.m. in the Faculty of Law, LG19, West Road. Professor John Deathridge, Emeritus King Edward Professor of Music, King’s College London, will be speaking on Power and violence in Wagner’s Ring. All are welcome. Admission is free.

Awards

Magdalene College: The College invites submissions for its first annual Peter Peckard Prize, worth £1,000, on a topic relating to some form of human exploitation and slavery today. Essays or contributions in other media are welcomed from all undergraduate members of the University. The closing date for the receipt of entries is 1 July 2014.
