When the Notice about the changes to papers for the Tripos was published on 19 March 2014 (Reporter, 6343, 2013–14, p. 448), the corresponding amendments to the supplementary regulations for Paper B7 were omitted in error.
By amending the title of Paper B7 from ‘Reform and renewal in Christian history’ to ‘Themes in world Christianities: context, theology, and power’ and by replacing the current text with the following so as to read:
This paper will be concerned with both the common themes and the diversity of contemporary Christianity in its global setting. Particular emphasis will be given to the contextual character of Christian theological reflection outside Europe and the USA since 1914 in relation both to indigenous cultures and to structures of global political and economic power.
The General Board, on the recommendation of the Academic Committee and Faculty Board of Law, have approved a request to allow students to claim a specialization in ‘Intellectual property’ in the LL.M. Examination.
Regulation 1.
By inserting ‘Intellectual property’ in the list of subject fields before ‘International law’.
Regulation 12.
By adding the following sentence at the end of the regulation:
A candidate may request that the designation of any subject specialism be removed from the class-list and consequently from their examination transcript, with permanent effect.
On the recommendation of the Degree Committee for the Faculties of Clinical Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, the General Board have agreed that an additional theme called ‘Rare Diseases’ may be added to the current options available for research training.
By amending Regulation 2 so as to replace ‘Board of Graduate Studies’ with ‘General Board’.
By amending the footnote so as to add the theme ‘Rare Diseases’.
The General Board have, on the recommendation of the Degree Committee for the Faculty of Engineering, approved a change to the Special Regulations for the Master of Research so as to rename the examination ‘Integrated Photonic and Electronic Systems’.
The General Board have, on the recommendation of the Degree Committee for the Faculty of Engineering, approved a change to the Special Regulations for the Master of Research so as to amend the title of the examination to ‘Ultra Precision Engineering’.
