Regulations for Examinations

Classical Tripos, Part II

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 296)

With immediate effect

The Schedule of Optional Papers has been amended as follows:

Paper O11 has been renamed 'Science before 1650' and, by removing the associated footnote, is available for examination in 2014.

Natural Sciences Tripos, Part II

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 409)

With effect from 1 October 2013

The General Board have approved the following amendment to the regulations for the Natural Sciences Tripos, Part II, and the corresponding supplementary regulations. Following restructuring of question content of Papers 2, 3, and 4, the process for discounting a paper, should a dissertation be offered in addition, has been clarified.

The General Board are satisfied that no candidate’s preparation for the examination will be affected by these changes.

Regulation 30.

By amending the last sentence of the examination requirements for the subject Psychology so as to read:

If a candidate offers four papers and a dissertation, the Examiners shall assess her or his performance on (i) Paper 1 and (ii) three of the following: Papers 2, 3, 4, or the dissertation, discounting the one component out of the four in which they judge the candidate’s work to be least good, providing that no component out of Papers 2, 3, or 4 shall be discounted if it is not of at least second-class standard.

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

By amending the supplementary regulation for the subject Physiology and Psychology so as to read:

Candidates will offer two psychology papers from Papers 2, 3, and 4, taken by candidates offering the subject Psychology Option A (Psychology).
