Philosophical Society

The Society’s next lecture will take place at 5.30 p.m. on Monday, 5 November 2012, in the Bristol-Myers Squibb Lecture Theatre, Department of Chemistry, Lensfield Road. Professor Brian Rogers, of the University of Oxford, will give a lecture entitled Seeing in three dimensions: philosophical issues and empirical findings.

The Society’s Honorary Fellows Lecture will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 7 November 2012, in the Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgwick Site. Dr Venki Ramakrishnan FRS will give a lecture entitled Seeing is believing: how a century after its discovery, Bragg’s Law allows us to peer into molecules that read the information in our genes.
