Notice of a benefaction

2 April 2012

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that he has received with gratitude a bequest of £30,000 from the late Dr Milo Keynes, M.A., M.D., M.Chir., of Trinity College. The benefaction is to be used to endow one or more prizes in the School of Clinical Medicine.

The Council is submitting a Grace to the Regent House (Grace 2, p. 517) for the approval of regulations to govern the Fund.

Notice of a Discussion on Tuesday, 24 April 2012

The Vice-Chancellor invites those qualified under the regulations for Discussions (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107) to attend a Discussion in the Senate-House, on Tuesday, 24 April 2012, at 2 p.m., for the discussion of the following topic of concern (see the Registrary’s Notice below):

The selective and unreasonable punishment of a single student for a collective act of protest by students and senior members.

The Registrary gives notice that he has received a request for the discussion, under Regulation 1(b) of Ordinances, Chapter I, Conduct of Business, Discussions (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107), of the following topic of concern to the University to be brought forward for discussion as soon as possible:

The selective and unreasonable punishment of a single student for a collective act of protest by students and senior members.
