Christ’s College

COLLEGE CHAPLAIN

Applications are invited from graduates who are in Holy Orders in the Anglican Communion for the post of Chaplain in Christ’s College. Duties include responsibility for the services in the College Chapel and sharing in the pastoral care of the College community. The post is available from 1 September 2011, and is for a single fixed term of four years.

Letters of application (no forms) should be sent to masters-assistant@christs.cam.ac.uk, together with a curriculum vitae and the names and addresses of two persons who have agreed to act as referees. The closing date for the receipt of applications is 7 March 2011. Short-listed candidates will be invited for interviews, which are expected to be in the first week of May 2011.

Jesus College

ELECTIONS

Elected to Fellowships with effect from:

LADY KAY SCHOLARSHIPS

The College proposes to elect a Lady Kay Scholar for a period of up to three years, commencing in October 2011. The Lady Kay Scholarship was endowed by Sir Edward Ebenezer Kay in memory of Lady Kay and is open to any person pursuing a course of theological study or research in the University who has already obtained a first or second class in any Tripos, and declares the intention of seeking Holy Orders in the Church of England. The applicant must be, or become, a resident member of Jesus College.

The value of the Lady Kay Scholarship is £500 a year (for a period of up to three years – one scholar to be in residence at any one time) in addition to £2,000 a year towards the University Fee. In addition, the scholar would normally be eligible for a separate contribution towards College Fees from the Theology and Religious Studies Scholarship.

Applications should reach the Graduate Office at Jesus College by 1 June 2011.

Robinson College

FELLOWSHIP IN PURE MATHEMATICS

The College wishes to appoint a Fellow in Pure Mathematics who currently holds an existing research or teaching appointment in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, with effect from 1 October 2011 (or as soon as possible thereafter), for up to five years in the first instance. The Fellowship would be held concurrently with their teaching or research post. The successful candidate would assist in supervising as well as in student admissions, and would be provided with the usual benefits of a Fellow in the College.

Applications, including a curriculum vitae, a statement of current research interests and teaching experience, and the names of three referees, should be addressed to the Senior Tutor by 16 March 2011. Applicants are asked to arrange for references to be sent from their three referees directly to the Senior Tutor, Robinson College, Grange Road, Cambridge, CB3 9AN (email kak24@cam.ac.uk, fax 01223 464806) by the closing date. Interviews will be held in early May.
