The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Modern and Medieval Languages, and notwithstanding the provisions of Regulation 19 (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 365) of the Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos, they have agreed to allow candidates who offered Paper Fr. 13 (History of the French Language) in the examination for Part Ib of the Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos in 2009 to be permitted exceptionally to offer Paper Fr. 13 in Part II in 2011 under its new title: ‘The French language: variation and change’. The Faculty Board have confirmed that, although the paper number is the same, the content of the paper has been changed since the examination in 2009.
