University Lecturer in the Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law is seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified individual to a University Lectureship in Corporate Law from 1 October 2010. Preference may be given to a candidate whose teaching and research interests lie in the fields of European Company Law or Corporate Insolvency Law. The person appointed will teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, conduct and supervise research, and participate in the general work of the Faculty.

Appointments made at University Lecturer level will be for an initial period of three or five years, with the possibility of reappointment to the retiring age, subject to satisfactory performance. The salary will be in the range of £36,715 to £46,510 a year.

Assistant Under-Librarian (Slavonic Specialist) in the Collection Development and Description Division of the University Library

Applications are invited for the full-time position of Slavonic Specialist (Assistant Under-Librarian) in the European Collections and Cataloguing Department of the University Library’s Collection Development and Description Division. Applicants should have a good honours degree, very good knowledge of Russian, a postgraduate qualification in library and information studies together, preferably, with experience in an academic library. They should have excellent IT, organizational, and communication skills, along with a flexible approach and the capacity to work in a rapidly changing environment.
