G. H. HARDY JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN MATHEMATICS

Applications are invited for the G. H. Hardy Junior Research Fellowship in Mathematics for three years from 1 October 2010, based in New College, Oxford. The person appointed will be expected to undertake advanced research in the field of Mathematics and will have completed her or his Ph.D./D.Phil. or be in the last year of Doctoral work at the time of taking up the post, and may not previously have held a Junior Research Fellowship or comparable appointment.

The Fellowship carries a stipend of £18,750 a year (subject to review). In addition, the Fellow will be entitled to a housing allowance (currently £1,660 a year) or to accommodation in College if available, free meals in College, and to entertainment, research, and book allowances.

St Antony’s College (European Studies Centre)

THE DEAKIN FELLOWSHIP

Applications are invited for the Deakin Fellowship for the academic year 2010–11. The Fellowship is intended to support scholarship related to France in the College’s areas of interest: modern history, politics, international relations, economics, anthropology, and sociology. A particular interest in Europe will be an advantage. The Fellow will be expected to pursue her or his own research and to contribute to the academic life of the College in general and the European Studies Centre in particular. A good working knowledge of English is essential.

The Fellowship carries a stipend of £9,000 a year and other College benefits, including an accommodation allowance (total package about £14,000). FONDAZIONE MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA VISITING FELLOWSHIP IN MODERN ITALIAN STUDIES

Applications are invited for the Italian Visiting Fellowship for the academic year 2010–11.

The Fellowship is intended for specialists in modern Italian history, politics, culture, economics, or society.

The Fellow is expected to reside in Oxford for the academic year, to pursue her or his own research, and to participate fully in the academic life of the European Studies Centre. A good working knowledge of English is essential. The Fellowship carries a stipend to meet living costs in Oxford, and certain College benefits.

Recent Fellows include Professor Gianfranco Pasquino, University of Bologna, Professor Paul Corner, University of Siena, and Professor Paolo Mancini, University of Perugia.

THE SANTANDER FELLOWSHIP

Applications are invited for the Santander Fellowship in Iberian and European Studies for the academic year 2010–11. The Santander Visiting Fellow will undertake research related to contemporary Spain and Portugal in their role in the EU and their relations with Latin America and global politics.

Candidates from the eleven countries in the ‘Santander Universities Network’ are encouraged to apply. This network covers institutions in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Venezuela, Spain, and Portugal.

The Fellow is expected to reside in Oxford for the academic year, to pursue her or his own research, and to participate fully in the academic life of the European Studies Centre. A good working knowledge of English is essential.

The Fellowship carries a stipend of £20,000 a year and entitlement to some other College benefits.
