DIRECTOR OF CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE DEPARTMENT FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION

The Department for Continuing Education is seeking candidates with a strong background in management of professionally oriented programmes to be Director of Continuing Professional Development. The post-holder will have considerable enterprise and flair in identifying new opportunities locally, nationally, and internationally. The post-holder will be responsible for the University's activities in continuing professional development and education, particularly by drawing on Oxford's research strengths, to enhance the University's impact beyond the traditional full-time student body. He or she will also serve as one of the Deputy Directors in the Department. The appointment will be from 1 October 2009, or as soon as possible thereafter. The post carries with it an official Fellowship at Kellogg College.

The salary will be on a scale starting at £51,700 a year. The University offers a final salary pension scheme, generous relocation package, and opportunities for personal and professional development.
