Clinical Anaesthetist in the Department of Veterinary Medicine

A veterinary anaesthetist is required to join the anaesthetics team in the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital from 1 October 2009. The successful applicant will organize and manage the provision of anaesthesia services to the Department; participate in the practical and theoretical instruction of veterinary students and training of Clinical Training Scholars; and take part in the out-of-hours on-call rota. The post-holder will benefit from the state-of-the-art facilities in the Small Animal Hospital, and a strong team of support staff. The salary will be in the range of £36,532 to £46,278 a year.

Applicants should have significant experience in an animal hospital environment, have attained or be eligible for the RCVS, ACVA, or ECVA Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia, and have a veterinary degree registerable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
